Roxie has the gift of predicting earthquakes!

Last Friday, she fell momentarily ill, which was bizarre.  Six hours later, a 3.4 magnitude quake struck.

Roxie recently had another spell and I openly wondered, "Is she predicting another?"  Sure enough, a jolting 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit tonight on a different faultline. 

Before:  Roxie gazes upon her lovely reflection in the Japanese Pond.

After:  Roxie leapt toward her spiritual vision straight into the the water.  Was ancestor Freda* calling to her?

Now:   After a long, cold walk home, Roxie’s been freshly bathed and de-tadpoled.  It looks like somone’s learned her lesson.

* In the late 1970′s, Kristen’s Grandmother Freda also fell into the Japanese Tea Garden Pond when no one was looking.  What are the odds?

Roxie ran a cost analysis of this golden opportunity.  Over $16/day would buy a lot of rawhides and liversnaps, but the odds that he would steal her in the middle of the night to earn his $50 back were just a bit too high.
